Turkey Kale Meatball Dog Treats
A healthy treat of turkey, kale and oats for your pup!
1 pound ground turkey lean
3⁄4 cup kale finely chopped
1 cup rolled oats1egg
1⁄8 tsp honey optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a medium or large bowl, combine all ingredients thoroughly. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Coat the bottom of a glass or metal baking dish with a small amount of coconut oil. Form the mixture into balls. I used a tablespoon to create 1 1⁄2 inch balls.
Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool completely before serving to your pup.
Store in refrigerator for 7 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
Number of meatballs will depend on the size you make for your dog.
Adjust baking time accordingly.
You may also add 1⁄8 teaspoon of honey to the recipe if your pup isn't used to greens.
Instead of storing in a refrigerator, you may freeze all of them and serve frozen.
