Delicious chocolate syrup with a hint of coffee. Rich and decadent!
Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup of brewed coffee (I like mine strong)
1⁄2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a medium or large saucepan, combine sugar, brewed coffee and cocoa powder. Whisk together until smooth. Bring ingredients to a boil and allow to boil for 3 minutes. Turn burner down to simmer for another 5 minutes to thicken.
Step 2
Remove from stove and whisk in the salt. Pour sauce into a separate container to cool completely.
Step 3
Store syrup in an airtight container, I prefer a Mason jar, and refrigerate for up to a week.
