It can take a while to find the perfect angle to capture the beauty of a location. I never want to recreate another photographers vision but when visiting a national park, or other known destination, it’s difficult. Light can change that. I take notice of the light traveling throughout the day so when I’m ready to shoot, I have an idea of the feel I want to capture. It’s not always possible when making a quick stop on your way to another destination.
Take your time, and take your tripod. A tripod is essential for a clean, sharp image. However, once in a while, I’ll get lucky with my iPhone (see Snowmass image).
Here are a few landscapes I’ve take in the past. I’m definitely ready to get back out on the open road.
